This tutorial shows you how to generate a PDF using one of our supplied report templates.

Note: The path to the ForeUI executable must be specified in the Looksie settings, details here.

Click the Run Report link in the Navigator to display the Report View.  There will be a small delay before the Report View is displayed for the first time as the Reports directory is scanned and discovered reports are loaded.

LooksieWindow1

To load the mockups you want to include in your report click the Open File... button.  A file browser dialog will be displayed.
Browse to the SamplePrototypes directory located where you installed Looksie (usually under C:\Program Files\XemWare\Looksie).

Select the following file:

Blog.4ui

Click OK to load the selected mockups into Looksie.

There is no defined limit on the number of mockups you can load into Looksie (except for operating system limits e.g. memory).

You will now see that all the loaded file appears in the Loaded Files list, as well as within the File Explorer.

The preview report screen will now be displayed and a ‘Please Wait’ dialog is shown whilst the report is being generated. The time taken to generate the report will depend on your system specification and on the number of mockups.

When finished the first page will appear. You can now browse the report or export it to a variety of formats including PDF, Excel, Word, and RTF. For example, to export to PDF, click File -> Export document... -> PDF File.

Alternatively, use the dropdown button on the toolbar.
